Hong Kong Train derails during rush hour
Passengers in Hong Kong had to leave the train through a broken door and cross tracks to make their way to safety. Five hundred passengers had been evacuated from the train. Eight passengers were injured when help arrived at the station. Although,the cause of the derailment was still under investigation but there wasn't any form of foul play after previous attacks by the pro-democracy protesters on the city’s mass transit system. A passenger train derailed during the morning rush hour in Hong Kong on Tuesday,leaving an estimated number of eight people injured, according to authorities. The MTR Corporation has been targeted by protesters since the company refused giving CCTV footage of how police men was beating demonstrators and passengers on a subway train last month. Earlier this year in March, an MTR locomotive derailed and crashed into another train in the course testing a new rail signalling system.
